Saturday: our guest speaker Stéphane Kirouac

Stéphane Kirouac, son of Renaud Kirouac (GFK 1584) and Nicole St-Jacques, was born in 1964. Originally from Marieville, he has been living in Saint Jean-sur-Richelieu for the past 34 years. He married a local girl and they have two children. He studied at Cégep Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (College) and graduated with a diploma in electrotechnics. After working for a private company for a few years, he started teaching electronics and has done so for the past 34 years. In his spare time, he pursues his love of genealogy and the history of his town and region. But building a skating rink in his backyard every winter is a must. He presently works on a history book on St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, 100 years of photos from 1860 to 1960. Any extra spare time finds him cycling and writing historical capsules on Facebook about the past of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
