PURPOSES

  1. Promote organization of activities, events, gatherings, information and exchanges between members;
  2. Commemorate milestones and underline contribution of individuals to the family legacy;
  3. Encourage sharing of knowledge and strengthen ties linking descendants of our common Breton ancestor;
  4. Develop our family heritage through enhanced knowledge and understanding of the achievements of various descendants while promoting and maintaining the respect of the family heritage and its perenniality;
  5. Initiate, maintain and encourage research undertakings related to our family genealogy and history;
  6. Discover more about our Breton origins by encouraging research on our Ancestor, his family and birthplace;
  7. Keep updating the Kirouac families’ genealogy and publish results from time to time;
  8. Study the migration and settlement of Kirouac families throughout the North American continent;
  9. Keep in the KFA archives all documents, photos, pictures, newspaper articles, audio, video and film recordings, pertaining to our family history, and to deeds and achievements of family members;
  10. Invite all those bearing the K/ family name or anyone related through maternal ancestry, or simply interested in the KFA’s objectives, to join our family association.
